Following are some of the student's thoughts to Attorney Schottland's visit:
- I learned a lot from the question/answer format. I thought (Carolina) was really nice...!
- I thought this SAS was good because all the students were able to relate to Carolina. Just 10 years ago, she was in our shoes and deciding what to do with her life. She knows about the resources that we have here, and what aspects go into our decision making regarding a career in law and she was able to address those. I think everyone felt very comfortable in the discussion room in terms of being able to ask her questions so we had a very smooth conversation.
- The topic was interesting and conversational. I enjoyed that she really allowed us to take the conversation where our interests were.
- Very informative and helpful, even for students still contemplating whether or not to apply for law school.

Man acquitted in sex abuse case

Prosecutors alleged Gonzalo Ramirez-Palacios, of 400 Kensington Drive, fondled two female family members about two or three years ago, but defense attorney Margi Worth characterized the victims at rebellious teenagers who fabricated the allegations.

The verdict came after a three-day trial before Judge Gordon Graham. If he had been convicted, Ramirez-Palacios could have been sentenced to probation or up to seven years in prison.
